The film received mixed praises. Anushka was a Punjabi girl who was from middle class in a film named 'Band Baaja Baraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. The movie received positive reviews and proved to be an overnight success. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract together with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
